And why should they? The German people elected Hitler. The German people
allowed Hitler to massacure innocent women and children in the concetration
camps. After the war didn't Russia get control of East Germany? Why couldn't
the allies give the Jews a part of Germany as well?
Exactly!!!! That is, in a nutshell, the argument of Ahmedinajad.
Crap. He said nothing of the sort.
He called Israel a racist state.
So much for any potential value from holding an international conference
on racism, not that there was any really any from the beginning. Did
they really think Ahmedinajad was there to learn how to better treat his
own racial minorities?
Good that Australia did not attend. Good that they Western world walked
out on him en-masse. Bad that men with beards clapped. At least we saw
the faces of our enemies.
He's a liar and a hypocrite:
This from the Tehran Times:
"Minister says Sejjil missile improves Iran’s defense power
TEHRAN – Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najar stated on Wednesday
that the manufacture of solid fuel Sejjil missile has significantly
improved Iran’s missile capabilities.
'With manufacturing advanced missiles like Sejjil our young experts have
increased the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile power', he told
reporters in Tehran.
In 2008 Iran successfully tested its two-stage surface-to-surface
missile which has a range of up to 1,200 miles.
Mohammad-Najjar said Iran has produced missiles such as Sejjil which are
more sophisticated than Shahab generation.
Asked about recent military threats against Iran by some Israeli
officials, he said Iran would 'decisively' respond to any attack"
First of all, far from 'responding', Iran actively supports Hezbollah
and Hamas in terror attacks on Israeli civilians.
Second, why on earth would a *defensive* missile need a range of 1,200
Third, hypocsrisy - religious persecution (as you say) is a problem in Iran:
"Although Christianity is a recognized religion in Iran, evangelical
Christians, some of whom have converted from Islam, often face
harassment by the authorities. Converts from Islam can risk arrest,
attack or the death penalty. Conversion from Islam (apostasy) is
considered as forbidden under Islamic Law, which requires apostates to
be put to death if they refuse to reconvert to Islam".
"The Baha’i faith was founded about 150 years ago in Iran and has since
spread around the world. Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic
of Iran in 1979, the Baha’i community has been systematically harassed
and persecuted. There are over 300,000 Baha’is currently in Iran, but
their religion is not recognized under the Iranian Constitution, which
only recognizes Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism. Baha’is
in Iran are subject to discriminatory laws and regulations which violate
their right to practise their religion freely, as set out in Article
18(1) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to
which Iran is a state party. The Iranian authorities also deny Baha’is
equal rights to education, to work and to a decent standard of living by
restricting their access to employment and benefits such as pensions.
They are not permitted to meet, to hold religious ceremonies or to
practise their religion communally. Since President Ahmadinejad was
elected in 2005, dozens of Baha’is have been arrested".
Dunno why Ah-mad-Jihad got invited to the conference in the first place
